Kuala Lumpur, July 19 – According to insiders, three consortiums have submitted proposals to the Public Private Partnership Unit (UKAS) to develop the elevated Autonomous Rapid Transit (e-ART) system in Johor Bahru.

The three consortiums are:

MMC Corp – DOM Industries Sdn Bhd

WCT Holdings – Lion Pacific Sdn Bhd

YTL Corporation – SIPP Rail Sdn Bhd

Ancom Nylex no longer bidding

According to The Edge, a consortium previously formed by Theta Edge Bhd and Ancom Nylex Bhd had expressed interest in the project. However, negotiations to finalize the consortium collapsed in April.

Sources close to the matter revealed that Ancom Nylex is no longer a bidder for the project, but it will play a supporting role in the MMC-DOM consortium.

Other parties reportedly interested in the project include:

LBS Bina Group

Sinar Bina Infra (SBI)

BTS Group Holdings PCL (Thailand)
