TSMC will begin 2nm mass production in the 4th quarter and hit 45,000 - 50,000 wafers per month (wpm) by year-end, at US$30,000 per wafer, media report, with 2026 production at 100,000wpm. TSMC Arizona’s fab 2 will start 2nm ahead of schedule and help TSMC reach 200,000wpm in 2028. Apple, AMD, Broadcom, Intel, MediaTek, Qualcomm are already working with or will have 2nm chips in production at TSMC by year-end. Orders from these Big 6 clients will surge in 2026. By 2027, Nvidia, Amazon, Google, Marvell, Bitmain will join several more firms in 2nm mass production. Apple has already secured nearly half of TSMC’s 2nm capacity, with Qualcomm the 2nd biggest client. Most of TSMC’s 2nm production will initially be done at its Taiwan fabs in Hsinchu (Baoshan Fab 20) and Kaohsiung (Fab 22). TSMC’s 4nm and 3nm will remain in high demand, fully booked through end-2026.
