Just my personal opinions - Trump thought he ate and wanted to repeat US Iraq war style - uprising within Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein. At one point - there's news of Trump promoting Kurdish militant groups to strike Iran - pretty obvious trying to incite uprising. Trump underestimated Iran :)
