NEON to open landmark exhibition space at Battersea in 2025
KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 17): Battersea Power Station, one of London’s most iconic landmarks, will soon have next to it Central London's first-ever purpose-built entertainment and cultural exhibition space, as NEON, a global leader in immersive experiences, brings its vision to life.
Set to open in Spring 2025, the venue will feature world-class exhibitions, including semi-permanent showcases from NEON’s acclaimed repertoire such as Jurassic World: The Exhibition and Machu Picchu: The Golden Empires of Peru. The 3,200 sq m space, designed by Expo Pavilion Group and constructed by Star Live, is nearing completion with the venue’s distinctive roof structure already in place.
NEON chief executive officer and executive chairman Ron Tan said, “We are thrilled to announce the opening of a brand-new exhibition space and look forward to bringing our world-renowned immersive experiences to Battersea Power Station, which has quickly established itself as a vibrant centre of creativity and community since the restored Power Station opened its doors to the public for the first time in history in October 2022.”
Battersea Power Station has become a key cultural hub, drawing over 24 million visitors since its regeneration. It boasts over 150 shops, restaurants, and leisure spaces, along with an annual events programme. In 2024, it was recognised as one of the top 20 "Best Cultural Spots" worldwide by National Geographic. NEON’s new venue will further enhance the area’s offerings as it opens during Wandsworth’s year as The London Borough of Culture.
Battersea Power Station Development Company head of asset management Sam Cotton commented, “The opening of NEON’s new exhibition space at Battersea Power Station supports our vision to deliver a vibrant centre for arts, culture, entertainment and community engagement. We are excited to see Londoners and visitors from further afield come together to enjoy these globally celebrated experiences.”
