KUALA LUMPUR: Microlink Solutions Bhd has secured an RM83.5 million contract from the Home Ministry to develop an Advance Passenger Screening (APS) system for the Immigration Department.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said its subsidiary Microlink Systems Sdn Bhd had received the contract that requires it to study, propose, design, develop, supply, deliver, install, integrate, test and commission the system.
The job will be carried out for two years from Nov 6, 2024 to Nov 5, 2026.
"The project will have no effect on the issued share capital and substantial shareholders' shareholdings of the company.
"It is expected to contribute positively to the revenue, earnings per share and net assets per share of the company and is not expected to have a material effect on the gearing for the financial year ending March 31, 2025," Microlink said.
Microlink's share price closed at 14 sen on Thursday, down 6.7 per cent or one sen, for a market capitalisation of RM150 million.
