KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia ended Friday on a lower note, with no notable market-moving factors in play.
The FBM KLCI closed down 2.47 points, or 0.16% at 1,551.04 after hitting an intraday high of 1,556.64. For the week, the benchmark index was down 0.27%.
Daily losers for FBM KLCI constituents at 16 counters outweigh the gainers at 11 counters, while three remained unchanged.
On the broader market, there were 580 gainers against 515 decliners while 470 counters unchanged. Trading volume was brisk at 3.9 billion shares valued at RM3bil.
