Tractor Malaysia, 4 firms donate to WAO

KUALA LUMPUR: Tractors Malaysia, a dealership under Sime Darby Industrial Sdn Bhd (SDISB), has collaborated with four companies to donate RM80,000 to the Women's Aid Organization (WAO).

The four companies are Nestcon Infra Sdn Bhd, Landhon Builders Sdn Bhd, Seri Pajam Development Sdn Bhd, and Pembinaan Tetap Teguh Sdn Bhd.

In a statement, SDISB emphasised that the collaborative endeavour underscores its dedication to backing initiatives that advance gender equality and empower women.

SDISB managing director Liew Thiam Huat said the donation to WAO reflects the company's commitments to corporate social responsibility and its belief in the power of collective action to drive positive change.

"The funds will aid WAO in its mission to provide support, and shelter to women and children affected by domestic violence and to advocate for women's rights in Malaysia.

"At SDISB, we recognise the importance of fostering an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of gender, has equal opportunities to thrive while at work", said Liew.

He noted that the recent International Women's Day celebration served as a reminder of the work to be done in achieving gender equality in society.
