Don't be naive. Malaysia export still strong. A temporary set back is unavoidable. As for strong USD , we can reduce trade with US focus more on Asian markets. Locals Debts denominated in USD are not much . South East Asian markets are in better position in recovery.

its a valid question eventho its not likely now but if majority keep voting for the wrong ppl to manage it, msia can go bankrupt, if bankrupt myr will be useless, the nta will still worth what its worth but cant do much.

Edmund, hope that this country learned their past history well. Don't ever borrow loan in USD. Better still don't trade in USD. They should all trade in their respective currency n wean off from the reliance of USD.

Malaysia current account are not in deficit position like Turkey, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. A weak currency actually bode well for the country export. And our largest trading partner are no longer the US but instead with china and our neighbouring countries.

It’s so funny to see those who said don’t trade with US or use usd to trade! It’s doesn’t help the economy come on! Why don’t you refer to Singapore? Why Singapore doesn’t affect at all?
