Mr Chan Kay Ding, who also known as Damien Chan completed his pupilage in Messrs. Chooi, Saw & Lim and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2017.

He then joined Messrs. Sri Ram as a junior associate. Throughout his early years as a litigator, Mr Damien had the honour and opportunity to assist prominent senior counsel i.e Dato Lim Choon Khim and Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram (retired Federal Court Judge).

Mr Damien later continued his legal practicing career in Messrs. Kevin & Co. where he was promoted as a Senior Associate cum Head of Litigation in his third year with the firm. He also lectured and prepared aspiring lawyers for the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) examination in Criminal Procedure and Land Law with Advance Tertiary College (ATC). He is also a co-author of a law textbook titled Criminal Procedure & Practice in Malaysia. 

His journey has allowed him to be exposed to a plethora of experiences in contentious litigation matters ranging from civil, commercial, and corporate disputes and criminal defense briefs (including capital punishment offences) which often leads to appeals to appellate courts, in particular he was in charge of disputes between public listed companies and their subsidiaries. Besides that, Mr Damien is also well-versed in corporate drafting and advisory.

He subsequently set-up his practice on 1 December 2021 and he is currently the Managing Partner of Messrs. Damien Chan, Hannibal & Ng Chambers.
