Further to the announcement made on 20 March 2023, the Board of Directors of Metro wishes to announce that Metro Medical Centre Sdn. Bhd. ("Metro Medical Centre"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metro, had on 18 August 2023 held its final meeting to conclude its member's voluntary winding-up ("Final Meeting"). 

The Liquidator will lodge with the Companies Commission of Malaysia and the Official Receiver, the Return by Liquidator relating to the Final Meeting ("Return") together with a copy of the accounts within 7 days from the Final Meeting in accordance with Section 459(3) of the Companies Act 2016 ("Act") pursuant to Section 459(5) of the Act, Metro Medical Centre will be dissolved upon the expiration of three (3) months from the date of lodgment of the Return by Liquidator.

The dissolution of Metro Medical Centre will not have any material impact on the net assets and earnings per share of Metro Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2023. It is also not expected to have any operational impact on Metro Group.
