That heavy volume at the closing bell shows some big players are shuffling positions to gear up for the next move. Don't worry about the noise because this strategic movement definitely signals something exciting is brewing behind the scenes.
they still have time until Jan 15 to pay all the debts if they are not acquiring OPM. it would cont to drag on to Sept 30 for the new charge rate agreement.
by then, if UIMB can't settle the debts, am sure they would ask for extension or if Bintai disagree, can initiate legal case again and winding up of UIMB operation. but that would be the last resort and no parties would want that. this round probably banks would be part of the negotiation.
the real question now is how much would UIMB willing to pay which is acceptable to Bintai? I recalled back in 2024, Datuk Tay mentioned they were looking at rm393 mil valuation back then. I believe this includes settlement of the outstanding debts to bintai and also to bank. if UIMB can secure bank loans with Melaka gov guarantee, shouldn't be an issue to acquire. just whether they agreed with rm393 mil or much lower valuation?
Jika tidak hari ini, mungkin minggu depan
Jika tidak minggu ini, mungkin bulan depan
Jika tidak bulan ini, mungkin tahun depan
S'gala harapan 'kan datang yang kita impikan
Janganlah menyerah dulu, waktu masih panjang
Ingat doa kita s'lalu yang tak pernah usang
Kita usahakan lagi, Sayang
Yakin waktunya 'kan datang
