Petaling Jaya, 21 October 2020 – MY E.G. Services Bhd’s (“MYEG”) one-stop COVID-19 portal
provides a convenient channel for employers in areas under Conditional Movement Control Order
(“CMCO”) to arrange for the subsidised screening of their workers to ensure compliance with the
government’s latest directive.
The government announced on Tuesday that employees in management and supervisory
functions in the private and public sectors within CMCO areas will be required to work from home
effective October 22, while employees who are not within the eligible categories and who still
need to work on-premise will have to undergo swab tests. The costs of the tests for such
employees who are contributors to the Social Security Organisation (“SOCSO”) will be borne by
SOCSO.
Launched in May, MYEG’s one-stop COVID-19 portal is a convenient alternative channel for
companies that wish to streamline the process of registering and arranging for the testing of their
workers – both Malaysians and non-Malaysians -- for the COVID-19 virus.
Through the portal, employers can verify the eligibility of their workforce for SOCSO coverage
and proceed to arrange for eligible employees to be tested without any upfront payment required
as MYEG will liaise directly with SOCSO on the subsidies for the screening costs.
In addition, for the convenience of employers, on-site testing at their premises by trained medical
practitioners adhering fully to Ministry of Health guidelines is available.

Upon completion of the screening, employees will be issued with a digital certificate by MYEG in
the form of a dynamic QR colour code on a mobile application indicating their test status for the
purposes of verification.
As part of a collaboration between the Department of Labour of Peninsular Malaysia (“the
Department”) and MYEG that commenced in August, the QR-based digital certificate is
recognised by the Department as proof of testing. Under the collaboration, MYEG will also share
with the Department other relevant real-time data from the one-stop portal to assist the
Department in its monitoring and enforcement of employers' compliance with the government’s
directives.
Employers can visit MYEG’s website http://www.myeg.com.my to register or for further
information.
