EPS is high, but dividend payout no yet reached 30% of EPS (CIMB, MBB, RHB all around 60-70%). It’s dividend yield at 2.8%, it is too low in bank sector.
Although EPS not high, but this stock willing to give reasonable dividend which relatively higher in property industry, tgt with lower debt ratio and many valuable lands held, these attracts more value investor.
Even if awarded, but it already reflected in it’s share price,
- Short term investor : sell on news;
- Long term investor : not attractive as the fee proposed for niise so much lower than competitor, still got profit? Sufficient to distribute to investors?
Yes, it’s financial standing is very strong, but no dividend in past 10 years even good profit. Long term investor will choose other counters with return.
