Recent projects give a clearer picture of what the group is trying to scale. In May 2026, Wasco Greenergy highlighted the commissioning of one of Malaysia's larger biomass steam energy systems at a paper manufacturing facility in Kajang. The system, designed and manufactured by Wasco Thermal, uses treated empty fruit bunches as its main fuel and is designed for cogeneration of renewable electricity and steam.
The company said the installation is expected to generate up to 500,000 MWh of renewable thermal energy annually, with a targeted utilisation rate above 80%.
