Thought when the war start already know the profit will drop in future? If not, these months drop for what reason? Lol but good thing is I now can start buy some ticket at cheaper price and hope for good luckiest in year end.
Parameters have changed significantly. Initially, Middle East conflict expected to last for only three weeks and oil price spike will not be severe and short lived. Now, we are already in Month 3 and no end I sight as yet. Now in spite of the ceasefire , a lot of oil and gas infrastructures badly damaged and Strait of Hormuz navigation remains uncertain. Unhedged Jet fuel expenses at current elevated cost will be the real challenge. Of course, if you hold a medium/long term view and have faith on the future prospects, you can continue to buy at appropriate valuation.
All these (oil scarcity) already factored in nope? What I observe is that THEY now just simply cancel the unprofitable flight or transfer the cost to the consumer. Good luckiest.
Have you travelled recently in May 2026 based on the revised fares ? Go on the flight based on 40% increased in air fares and 20% fuel surcharges in May or June 2026 and that will be an eye opener in terms of capacity. Even with jet fuel prices coming down in May, the 20% fuel surcharges will mitigate but the adjustments will not fully offset the rise in the price of jet fuel. In any case, no worries as it is normal for aviation industry to hit turbulence.
