Looking at the accounts, book value should be around 2.25, and yet is trading at 1.36! Normal market values should be 1.5 times book value, so is presently traded very much below expected price range. In foreign countries, most CEOs are employed professionals, and their bonuses are very much tied to their ability to create value for the shareholders whether in the form of increased profits or high price of the shares. In Malaysia, a lot of the companies are run by the founder members, and are already very comfortable with their wealth and will not take on expansionist decisions.
