Analysts should be up all nights reviewing the results from GenS and planning the next investment move. All eyes on the soft launching of new attractions, all suite hotel which should mark the recovery of GenS revenue and earnings early 2025. Give it 6 months into 2025. If analysts are not optimistic with GenS, we may see GenS price heading lower than the post Q2 results low.

wow.. looks like Genting is getting a lot of attention now. It used to be the most hated stock :) There were only cursing and motherhood statements about Genting in the past. Everyone is making plans and waiting for opportunity to buy in or add now. Keep up the sharing!

Lets not forget Temasek is the major shareholder for TauRx :) I agreed with you that there will be no chance to buy at lower price if it is approved. After all, the announcement of approval will come directly from MHRA :)

外资放弃马股我觉得很多因素，其一，我国在以巴冲突中站队巴勒斯坦，触怒西方犹太资本。其二，安华政府的经济政策，和劫富济贫政策对国内经商环境不友好，不断攀高的经商成本使外资望而却步，其三，不平等的卖空制度，成了国际大鳄疯狂收割国内散户的利器，国内散户只能沦为案上之俎，任外资宰割，无奈之下，我已平仓了，转战外国股市。

Keep your options open as foreign stock market is also equity market and the same as KLSE; difference could be the market cap which resulted in perceived higher speculation here. Well, unless you are also looking at other markets such as the bond markets, currencies, commodities and even derivatives :)

Actually the reason why Genting is falling is very simple. It is because ESG theme is the major music now. Look at all other gambling stocks like Sands, Caesars, and Wynn. They are all falling because institutions are abandoning them. There is nothing to do with fundamentals. We, as retail investors, should do opposite than what institutions do. Buy when they abandon. When the wind returns to sin stocks again, even pigs will be blown high. For the moment, just collect high dividend and stay patient. It is still better than savings your money in the bank.

Don't compare competitors as the competitors are holding more cashes than Genting, no matched.

You should compare the profitability instead.

Leverage is one thing.

Profitability is the ultimate measuring yard stick.

Recent earnings call from these companies that you mentioned may provide some pressure to RWLVS too, Kenny. Single digit revenue growth due to lack of major events driving lower footfall. Typical major events like the Super Bowl and F1 in Vegas are in Q4 to Q1 timeframe.

well, so far so good for Genting. RWS2.0 started resulting in lower GenS contribution while GenM's operations are running without disruptions including RWLVS. Plantation segment riding on tight demand/supply which should continue until mid of 2025. Just in time for GenS to pick up while plantation segment goes into normalization. Then, comes RWNYC bidding status end of 2025 followed by pick up of O&G segment in 2026; will see contribution from O&G for the next 17 years

gens q4'24 results will still be flattish, pahang kia. It will start to recover early next year upon launching of new attractions and the all-suite luxury hotel replacing hard rock hotel. as for sg gomen, they are just protecting their national interest - getting LVS Marina Bay and GenS to complete their capex upgrades soonest possible :)

it will be better for sure :) additional 700 rooms from the new The Waterfront hotel will be added when its completed and Hard Rock Hotel is not the only hotel to be refurbished as there are a few more undergoing refurbishments.
