Tim is correct, it's double taxation. This dividend tax is a 2 tier taxation whereby they will tax you 2% for only the 2nd tier of above 100k, 1st tier of 1 - 100k is exempted. I have to sell some or transfer some to my wife to avoid this tax.

如果股息是退休被动收入， 那是痛的。公司赚钱已经给税了， 然后才分给我们， 现在它还要在人民的收入开刀， 我是不认同。如果要这2%， 可以直接在公司开刀， 不用对付单独人民 。 下一届投票就到我像它开刀 。。。

这个抽股息收入100k以上2％, 与95％的散户没有关系。。能达到100k以上股息收入的，投资额多数已经是200万以上，中的都是富有投资人。。而且是过了100k股息才开始抽2％。。让富人给一点税出来。。

当10个散户7个认为买大银行股收股息最好最安全。。Maybank又差不多是首选，所以这3年从7.00-7.30涨到10.60-10.80。。dividend yield高又业绩比大众银行好很多，实力又比Cimb，HL Bank强。。得确不容易跌破8.50。。
