i just bought it recently after the qr loss results, mil cookie. the sudden orderbook spike was the primary driver in the decision to buy; avg at 0.47. No detail breakdown of the 82mil orderbook back then, but, it was a good number as the usual range was between 20 mil to 40 mil range. It gave me a sense of recovery in orderbook at the back of semiconductor upcycle.

details of the 82 mil orderbook begin to surface a day later and the high margin segment (integrated SMT solutions) orderbook ~22mil is relatively good. This high margin segment collapsed in FY25 completely; only 1mil sales. ODM is an area of opportunity as discussed above.

cheng.... cnergen caught my attention when the news about the significant increase in its orderbook came out... especially with the semicon n tech sentiment improving recently.. when the price fell to 0.49 yesterday, i was actually very close to queueing but the lower profit margins still make me think twice... its really helpful that u pointed out the increase in orderbook is coming from higher margin segment. if that is really the case, then the recovery could be substantial... wow... lol...

cheng......do you think the impact from this stronger orderbook will start showing up in the next few quarters....or has the market already priced in most of the recovery expectations? That's probably the part I'm still trying to figure, as I don't want to end up chasing the story if the upside has largely been priced in already...hehe...

you are dealing with two different situations, mil cookie. the first part is orderbook and earnings and this will be reflected this year and yet to be priced in. the 2nd part is the ticker movement aka the market - risk mgmt will be needed here due to liquidity and sentiment.

the longer term perspective - I recalled Cnergenz maintained good relationship with its customers (long term relationship) from what I read in the IPO previously. If this stays true, there is also opportunity for Cnergenz in the future to secure asset/life cycle replacement orders from their customers. SMT machines generally have lifespan of 7 to 10 years; should be seeing machines in the field dated 2018 and earlier wearing off.

just my personal opinions, could be wrong - the market is a bit "too hot" and market correction is unavoidable. this will affect the market sentiment. I have been rebalancing my positions in other tech stocks/market over the last few weeks :) For Cnergenz, I have just started a small position and hoping that there will be opportunity to add on.

cheng.... no worries....not gonna blame you if the stock doesn't move in the direction you expect. If one's could guarantee where a stock price is heading, he'd be a god already... oh..I'll be using your avg cost as my benchmark so hopefully my buy in price won't be miles away from yours.. heheh

post briefing notes related to new growth area - ODM gaining traction. Outstanding ODM orders currently stand at MYR12.4m, supported by improving demand for its AI tester platform. I would like to see q3 results by end of the year. will keep it if it is meeting my expectation. else, will just exit. the intention is to ride the recovery of RWS and RWLV and observe the growth of RWNYC. that's the performance side of it. As for my position - I would like to see a 10% capital appreciation yoy and will exit if it is not meeting expectation even if the company performance is good. The reason is bond holders getting a yield of 7.6% for the new bond issued recently.

Lol, this stock is tightly held by the top30. small fish like me has very little lots on hands due to its explosive movement. at present rate, the market is pricing in 6mil to 8mil range of annual profit for FY26. There could be positive surprise either more orderbook secured in q2fy26 or annual profit for FY26 matching/higher than FY24 if mr market prices it at 7th floor/higher.

According to Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Yotchanan Wongsawat, a Thai delegation visited the Netherlands and Belgium from June 13–20 to explore opportunities for cooperation in the semiconductor sector with leading universities, research institutes, and technology organisations.

the only thing that will dampen the sentiment of cnergen is the growing risk of regional tech sector correction. Manage it well and it can be volatile due to the liquidity. for now, 3 mil shares dbt at 0.50 is a good baseline for support :) Current Cnergen trends is best described by the lyrics of Golden by Huntr/X while the regional tech sector correction is best described by the lyrics of Down by Jay Sean :) Lol, no pun intended.

Probably not actual recession but regional tech stocks have to undergo corrections due to overvaluation. I would think tech index will have to correct at least by 20% :) avoid overvalued stocks with no growth prospects. Rebalance profitable positions to adjust your avg lower if you intend to keep the stock to ride it's growth. Can add back once 20% correction to tech index arrives :)

不过，过了这么多年的低迷，我们也更谨慎的花费。。大家也习惯了。。
现在又可以PDD 买到便宜的用品。。
（其实我们许多用品大多数都是来自中国）..
所以对平民来说，我们这几年都是在recession 中度过。。。

while malaysia market is illiquid, it is also an opportunity to hold on to good stocks. it can swing high irrationally :) just need to have lots of patience. recession / low cycle / temporary disruptions is an opportunity to get on board :)
