Ex-MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad is Joe Holding's new chairman
KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 28): Joe Holding Bhd, formerly known as GPA Holdings Bhd, has appointed former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad as its independent and non-executive chairman effective immediately.
In a bourse filing on Tuesday, Joe Holding, which manufactures automotive batteries and components, said Dzulkifli started his career as deputy public prosecutor at the Commercial Crime Unit, Prosecution Division of the Attorney General's Chamber (AGC) in 1993. In 2010, he was appointed Commercial Crime Unit head at the AGC and in January 2015, was appointed director of criminal case management before being appointed director of the National Revenue Recovery Enforcement Team at the AGC in August 2015. He was the MACC chief commissioner between 2016 and 2018.
Joe Holding shares closed unchanged at 4.5 sen per share, bringing a market capitalisation of RM123.89 million.
