KUALA LUMPUR: NexG Bina Bhd, formerly known as Datasonic Group Bhd, has accepted a contract from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the supply of national identity cards for the National Registration Department.
The contract, valued at RM732.72mil, will run for a period of six years from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2032, the company's filing with the stock exchange shows.
Malaysia's national identity cards include the MyKad as well as MyTentera for military personnel and MyPOCA for registered ex-convicts.
under the terms of the deal, NexG Bina is required to furnish a performance bond of RM6.11mil to the government agency as well as implement the Professional Training and Education For Growing Entrepreneurs - Ready To Work (PROTÉGÉ-RTW) programme for a minimum of 305 participants, at no cost to the government.
