YTL, Gamuda unveil £5.2bil UK projects during PM Anwar visit

Malaysian conglomerates YTL Corp. and Gamuda Bhd. announced a combined £5.2 billion ($6.4 billion) in property projects in the UK as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim kicks off his trip to the nation.

YTL will invest £2 billion in its UK businesses over the next five years and another £2 billion to build homes and schools in Bristol, according to a UK government statement on Wednesday. The construction-to-utility group operates Wessex Water in the UK.

Meanwhile, property and infrastructure company Gamuda broke ground for a £1.2 billion redevelopment project in London on Wednesday, according to a report by The Edge. The firm owns 75% of the venture that will complete the 14-story 75 London Wall.
