TIME dotCom CFO Shahnaz Farouque resigns to pursue other opportunities

KUALA LUMPUR (March 26): TIME dotCom Bhd said its chief financial officer (CFO) Shahnaz Farouque Jammal Ahmad is resigning from the position effective May 15 “to pursue other career opportunities”.

Shahnaz, 49, was appointed as the internet services group's CFO in October 2021.

Prior to that he served as the CEO of CIMB group’s wholesale banking, and before that as the banking group's CFO, noted TIME in a bourse filing on Tuesday.

Shahnaz is also an independent and non-executive director of Touch 'n Go Sdn Bhd and TNG Digital Sdn Bhd.

TIME said it has appointed its deputy CFO, Karen Ding Ming Nyuk, as the group's acting CFO, effective May 15 “to ensure continuity of the office".

Ding, 50, who has been the group's deputy CFO since July 2023, has diverse experience in accounting, finance and investments, the group said.

Her past experiences included corporate finance director at Edotco Group Sdn Bhd and vice president and M&A lead at Axiata Group Bhd.

Shares in TIME closed one sen, or 0.19%, lower at RM5.17 on Tuesday, valuing the group at RM9.56 billion.
