PM: Decision has been made on Najib’s pardon application

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 2): Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said on Friday that the decision on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s pardon application has been made and just awaiting announcement by the Pardons Board.
“A decision has been made, just wait for the Pardons Board’s announcement,” he said briefly when asked after having lunch at the Pertama Complex food court here.
Najib, 70, who has been serving a 12-year prison sentence at Kajang Prison since Aug 23, 2022 for misappropriating RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd, filed the petition seeking a royal pardon on Sept 2, 2022.
