The YTL AI Supercomputer, one of the first of its kind in the world, represents a milestone in YTL’s strategic expansion to develop a cloud-based platform for cutting-edge computing power in Malaysia.
YTL Power International Managing Director, Dato’ Seri Yeoh Seok Hong said, “We are proud to be working with NVIDIA and the Malaysian government to bring powerful AI cloud computing to Malaysia. We are excited to bring this supercomputing power to the Asia Pacific region, which has been home to many of the fastest-growing cloud regions and many of the most innovative users of AI in the world.”
“This powerful AI Cloud will create high-value, high-income jobs for Malaysians, marking a significant step forward in our mission to become a leading AI and Data Centre hub in the region,” said Investment, Trade and Industry Minister, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.
The FBMKLCI started the week with a downtrend before making a soft rebound, therefore ending the week with a marginal decline and having the lowest contraction among its regional peers. The Utilities and Energy sectors led sectoral growth. Institutional investors accumulated utility stocks, while energy stocks benefited from higher crude oil prices.
