2. PLKN 3.0 requires transportation for the people who are involved and GCAP has experience in this as they were the one who did the transportation for the previous PLKN’s.
GCAP has been providing transportation services to children of our armed forces spreading over 10 zones, 76 camps with over 300 buses involved.
As for the National Services Programe (PLKN), prior to its suspension in May 2018, Gunung provided a total 12,180 effective day-trips under contract.
3. GCAP is the only listed company in Bursa Malaysia who has experience in the transportation business regarding PLKN.
The tendency of them getting the transportation project for PLKN 3.0 might be once again given to them.
Additional information
In FY2018, revenue from the National Service program (“PLKN”) service-contract, which was subsequently terminated in May 2018, contributed RM10.9 million to Group revenue in FY2018 or 38.8% of total Group revenue (0.0% in FY2019). Contract revenues from the PLKN service-contract had underpinned the Group’s revenue for 7 consecutive financial years until FY2018, which has inhibited revenue growth in the transportation division.
As you can see from the above paragraph that GCAP has made good money from the previous PLKN service contract.
It's your chance to relook into GCAP before it eventually sail further.
