Keng, we are very fortunate in Malaysia where the dividend income is not taxed. In other countries, the companies have to pay corporate tax and the shareholders who received dividend income also have to pay tax for that as dividend is considered an income. We are very happy here, no tax on dividend...no gan lou from government :D
Great, I know Aust n NZ could be like that, but it's called double taxation n it's very unfair. Good many years ago Malaysia was also like that but they withdrew this practice maybe 5,6 years ago (Can't remember exact years)?
