in my opinion, banks will still be the main stream for major banking events such as loan, insurance, unit trust, depsoits, etc. Digital currency may post some minor competiton but don't forget the banks also have digital currency /banking and they keep evolving. Most important, people tend to trust banks more than anything for keeping their money. They also have big capital to compete and evolve. The only affected is "bank staff" since digital banking may require lesser staff.

Lol... alipay = shopee pay here... haha... big effect? the money or credit card also inside bank account or credit card issued by banks. Anyway, alipay and China banks coexist... mutual benefits I would say... u see China bank just keep growing...
