The Board of Directors (“the Board”) of Straits wishes to announce that the Company had on 17 March 2025 received a notice in writing from Messrs. Moore Stephens Associates PLT (“Moore Stephens”) on their resignation as External Auditor of the Company with immediate effect pursuant to Section 281 (2) of the Companies Act 2016 (“CA 2016”).
 
The resignation of Moore Stephens is on a voluntary basis as both parties could not reach a consensus on the proposed increase in the audit fee for the financial year ending 30 June 2025.

Save for the above, the Board is not aware of any matters that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company. 

The Company has identified a new External Auditor and is currently in the midst of appointing them pursuant to Section 271 (2) of the CA 2016. 

Further announcement will be made by the Company once the appointment of a replacement External Auditor is finalised by the Board.
