On 26 February 2020, the Board of Directors of Manulife Holdings Berhad ("Manulife") ("Board") declared the first and final dividend of 7.0 sen per ordinary share in Manulife ("Manulife Share") ("2019 Final Dividend") for the financial year ended 31 December 2019.
Subsequently, on 23 March 2020, the Board had resolved that the Dividend Reinvestment Plan ("DRP"), which provides the shareholders of Manulife with the option to elect to reinvest their dividend in new Manulife Shares, would apply to the 2019 Final Dividend.
On 26 June 2020, the shareholders of Manulife had, at the Company's Extraordinary General Meeting, approved the DRP as well as the issuance of such number of new Manulife Shares pursuant to the DRP.
On behalf of the Board, UOB Kay Hian Securities (M) Sdn Bhd had, on 30 June 2020, announced that the issue price of the new Manulife Shares to be issued pursuant to the DRP had been fixed at RM1.93 per Manulife Share.
